«Zhoghvorout». Will Russia Not Hand Over Alraghatsy Lyovik to Armenian Law Enforcement?
«Zhoghvorout» newspaper reports that the Armenian former MP Levon Sargsyan, known as Alraghatsy Lyovik and currently detained in Russia, will not be handed over to Armenian law enforcement authorities. According to sources from the newspaper, Armenian law enforcement officials are concerned and do not rule out the possibility that L. Sargsyan may also be a citizen of Russia, as he has lived in that country for over eight years. However, negotiations regarding his return to Armenia are ongoing.
It is worth noting that in 2008, the organizer of the robbery attack on the private residence of former head of the Customs Committee Armen Avetisyan is believed to have been Alraghatsy Lyovik. According to reports, this has been confirmed by written testimonies from the leaders of the criminal group, including A. Karapetian, the former deputy head of the Nor Nork police station, and Armen Nikoghosyan, as well as other members, provided to the NSS.
It has come to light that the detailed layout of A. Avetisyan's residence was obtained from Suren Ghazaryan, who had worked for him and is well-acquainted with the house. Notably, Suren Ghazaryan is the son-in-law of Alraghatsy Lyovik and denies the accusations.
