The Court of Appeals Postpones the Examination of Robert Kocharyan's Lawyers' Appeal
The Court of Appeals, presided over by Mkhitar Papoyan, has postponed today's session, during which the appeal of Robert Kocharyan's defense regarding the refusal of his release on bail by the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court was to be discussed. This has been reported by Kocharyan's legal team.
The court found that individuals identified as victims in the summons list compiled by the investigator needed to be notified of the session. However, these individuals have not yet been recognized as victims by any judicial decision, and their participation in this session has no grounds.
Moreover, the court noted that the package of documents submitted by the first instance was incomplete for the discussion of the motion. At the same time, the court deemed additional documents necessary and required their submission. In particular, the presiding judge requested the summons list, the indictment conclusion, the defense's motion regarding the application of bail, and all decisions regarding the measure of restraint for Robert Kocharyan.
The next court session is scheduled to take place on December 6 at 12:00 PM.
It should be reminded that the Yerevan General Jurisdiction Court, chaired by Anna Danibekyan, rejected Robert Kocharyan's lawyers' motion on November 7 to allow the application of bail as a measure of restraint.
