Gevorg Kostanyan Not Afraid of Imprisonment
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the Special Investigation Service yesterday involved the former Chief Prosecutor of Armenia, Gevorg Kostanyan, as a defendant in the March 1 case, giving him 48 hours to present himself.
We contacted Kostanyan, who has been in Moscow for an extended period. He referred to the actions as a "pre-election show" and stated that he had warned that he would return after the examination period (Kostanyan teaches at a university), noting that “the urgency itself is already telling.”
He concluded from these allegations that there is a lack of desire to uncover the murders of the 10 victims from March 1. When asked whether he thinks a search will be announced for him if he does not return within the specified deadline, Gevorg Kostanyan replied, "That’s already the 48th side of the question."
Do you not fear that upon your return you will be arrested? "That’s also the 49th side of the question." Don’t you fear imprisonment? "I, in general, am not afraid of anything—only the punishment of God.”
