EU Fully Supports Efforts of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs for Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Resolution
The European Union fully supports the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs aimed at resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This was stated by Luc Devigne, Deputy Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia of the European External Action Service, during a press conference held on the second anniversary of the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on November 26.
“We are always in favor of peaceful solutions to conflicts; in our opinion, there are no military solutions, only military demagoguery. In this specific conflict, as the European Union, we are not a party to the conflict, but we fully support the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. One of them is from an EU member state,” Devigne stated.
Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Avet Adonts emphasized that the Armenian government values the EU’s approach towards the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict very highly.
