‘168 Hours’: No One Is Talking About Losing Thousands of Hectares of Land in the Nakhchivan Sector During Pashinyan's Premiership, Grigor Grigoryan Says
‘168 Hours’ newspaper reports: During the interview, Grigoryan commented on the people who speculate about the April War, stating that they generally do not understand the military. He asked, 'Who are the members of the commission investigating the April actions? They are people who have not even served in the army, have no idea how much weapons weigh, do not know the types of weapons, and they are supposed to discuss this issue and make decisions?' He emphasized that if we want to ask questions today, we should first address the military advisor to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Arshak Karapetyan, who was the head of the intelligence department and should be held responsible.
Grigoryan boldly stated, 'Our soldier defeated both Azerbaijan and Russia. In my opinion, the blitzkrieg was prepared to see how much could be done in those 3-4 days to ultimately close the topic, but as a result, the 18-year-old soldier disrupted everyone’s plans. Remember, I said back in 2014 that it is impossible against the essence of a Armenian, an Armenian soldier; even the weakest soldier can instantly turn into a lion and create significant issues.'
He continued, 'If there is a war, those who are concerned about this country will go. Naturally, this government hasn’t gone, nor will it go,' Grigor Grigoryan, the president of the 'Union of Karabakh War Veterans,' reserve colonel, and freedom fighter, said in an interview with ‘168 Hours.’
Grigoryan also addressed the ongoing expression regarding the loss of '800 hectares' following the April War: 'Someone made a statement without understanding, and it continues to be claimed that we lost 800 hectares. Yes, we did lose positions, but who says it was 800 hectares? You must choose a favorable position in each terrain when you retreat. During the Artsakh Liberation War, we liberated that much land, but no one talks about that. No one is talking about the fact that in 2018, during Pashinyan's premiership, we lost thousands of hectares of land in Vayots Dzor—again, in the Nakhchivan sector. And this was without a fight. So why aren’t we talking about this? How did the village of Areni fall under the adversary's fire when the Turk's positions were who knows where...'
