The State Revenue Committee Urges Vehicle Owners to Remove Customs-Registered Cars from Supervision Area

The State Revenue Committee of Armenia warns that the lease period for the customs clearance area for vehicles located in the Noragavit district of Yerevan will not be extended, and after the expiration of this period, customs authorities will not provide any services in that area.

As reported by the Information and Public Relations Department of the State Revenue Committee, it is urging vehicle owners still in the area to promptly complete their customs registrations and remove their vehicles from the customs supervision area. The statement emphasizes, “Otherwise, after the expiration of the lease period, customs authorities will not guarantee the safety of vehicles remaining in that area after being released. Vehicles subject to customs supervision will be transferred to another operational customs supervision area.”

Furthermore, the committee calls on organizations transporting vehicles to the Customs Service Center located in Gyumri to urge the owners of parked vehicles to quickly finalize their customs registrations and remove their cars from the customs surveillance zone. Otherwise, as the area occupied by parked vehicles increases, problems will arise concerning the parking and unloading of new arriving vehicles, including auto lifting trailers and containers,” the statement concluded.
