Gagik Khachatryan's Nephew's Detention Extended
The court has granted the request of the National Security Service's Investigative Department and has once again extended the detention of Karen Khachatryan, the nephew of former State Revenue Committee chairman Gagik Khachatryan, for another two months.
Lawyer Amram Makinyan emphasized that this decision was expected for them, as he believes that making a fair and courageous decision regarding this case requires a great deal of audacity for today's judiciary.
“The extent of the damage attributed to Karen Khachatryan has long been fully accounted for in the Prosecutor General's deposit account,” the lawyer stated. According to him, the risks presented each time to justify Karen Khachatryan's detention have been completely neutralized.
