Police Officer Risks Life to Save 82-Year-Old Man from Drowning

On November 18, an emergency incident occurred in the Shirak province. Around 12:00 PM, an 82-year-old resident of Shirak, H. Sedrakyan, jumped into the reservoir in Vardakhar village with the intent to commit suicide. This was reported by shamshyan.com.

At that moment, a police officer from the Gyumri division of the police, who was on duty at the same reservoir, noticed the incident and, risking his own life, jumped in to rescue the citizen.

The investigation will determine the reason behind the 82-year-old man's attempt to take his own life. Materials regarding the incident are being prepared in the investigative division of the Gyumri police.
