Major Fire in Armavir City: 6,000 Bales of Animal Feed Burned, Lexus Vehicle Reduced to Ashes
On November 16, at approximately 03:25 AM, a call was received at the emergency management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reporting a fire in the animal feed storage near the barn at house No. 1a on Sayat Nova Street in Armavir City.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, rescuers, with the help of citizens, managed to prevent the spread of the fire and fought it for several hours. Rescuers, citizens, and police successfully evacuated 32 head of cattle from the barn.
The fire completely destroyed approximately 6,000 bales of animal feed stored adjacent to the barn owned by Said Usoyan. In addition, a Lexus GX470 vehicle in the nearby garage was completely burned and turned to ash, along with all goods inside.
Representatives of the Armenian Electricity Networks also arrived quickly at the scene, disconnecting power to the entire area to allow firefighters to safely carry out their work. The fire has been completely extinguished, but firefighters are still working at the site.
According to preliminary information, the citizen has suffered damages amounting to 35-40 million drams due to the fire.
