Fire Erupts in Armenia-Turkey Border Area Extinguished, Ministry of Emergency Situations Reports
On November 15, at 15:12, the "911" service received information that a fire had broken out in the territory of the Republic of Turkey, with a risk of spreading to the territory of Armenia near the "Arpi Lake" National Park in Shirak Province.
Two firefighting units from the regional emergency response department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene. The fire was contained by 18:57. Thanks to coordinated efforts, the fire was successfully extinguished by 19:30.
Approximately 320 hectares of vegetation burned in the territory of the Russian border guard posts 3rd and 4th. The firefighting efforts were supported by 40 Russian border guards, three employees of the "Arpi Lake" National Park, and seven residents of the Zarishat community.
