Major Chain Accident Occurs in Yerevan, Injuries Reported
Today, November 13, a major chain accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 18:45, on Athens Street, on the road leading to the ‘Hrazdan’ Sports Complex, vehicles involved in the collision included a Mercedes 222 S 63 with RUS license plate M 888 KB 777, another Mercedes with license plate 35 FN 794, and an Opel Astra with license plate 35 ZN 921.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary information suggests that the driver of the Russian-plated Mercedes sought medical attention only two hours after the accident.
Witnesses at the scene reported that immediately after the collision, the driver of the Russian-plated Mercedes exited the vehicle and put on a real ‘show’ blaming the other drivers of the damaged vehicles, as well as the driver of a Rolls Royce with license plate 07 QQ 007 that had been passing through the permitted area at the time.
According to G. Shamshyan, the driver of the Russian-plated Mercedes was Gor Mekhakyan, who is a relative of Ruben Hayrapetyan, the former president of the Football Federation and a figure known in the community as ‘Nemets Rubo.’
