Let’s immediately note that the budget shows a significant increase, with revenues rising from 83 billion 200 million drams in 2019 to 107 billion drams in 2020. Moreover, the share of the city’s own revenues is noticeably increasing.
Accordingly, there is a proposed expenditure increase of 25 billion drams. The expenditure part for 2020 will be 116 billion drams, compared to approximately 91 billion drams in 2019.
A new model for greening is being introduced, specifically, 3.6 billion drams allocated for the construction of a new irrigation network from scratch in various areas.
There will also be the possibility of accepting 1,500 more children in kindergartens. Additionally, salaries for staff in art and music schools will increase.
Funds for the resettlement of residents from emergency buildings are also increasing. 1.5 billion drams is allocated for yard renovations, along with an increase in funding for asphalt works — with 696 million drams specifically for the construction and reconstruction of sidewalks, including infrastructure accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
The practice of participatory budgeting under the "Active Citizen" initiative will continue, with 800 million drams allocated for purchasing technical means for cleaning streets, sidewalks, and yard areas.
Significant work is planned in the healthcare sector, particularly in polyclinics, for the acquisition of necessary equipment for ultrasound and ophthalmic examinations. And more.
The budget draft will be presented for discussion among the factions of the Council of Elders in early December."
