Iravunk: Authorities Not Only Not Interested in Aghvan Hovsepyan but Also Cooperate with Him

Iravunk newspaper writes: Recently, during a briefing in parliament, reporters asked the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Hayk Grigoryan, about the former head of the Committee and former prosecutor Aghvan Hovsepyan.

“Opinions are constantly being voiced that Hovsepyan’s activities should be studied, and even charges should be brought against him. Are there any investigations being conducted in the committee regarding his activities? Do you not want any documents?” one of the journalists queried.

Hayk Grigoryan responded evasively, stating that, according to Article 190 of the Criminal Procedure Code, these official individuals are not their subjects: “I am not the addressee of the question.”

According to Iravunk, the authorities are not only uninterested in Aghvan Hovsepyan but are also cooperating with him. “Mr. Hovsepyan often advises law enforcement agencies. Given his extensive work experience, he knows the biographies and activities of the ‘big fish’ well, and he tries to be helpful, suggesting various things, etc. Taking this circumstance into account, apparently, no legal proceedings against him will commence either now or in the foreseeable future.”

Details can be found in today’s issue of the newspaper.
