Vigen Sargsyan Has Not Been Summoned for Questioning, Chairman of Investigative Committee Says

Former Minister of Defense Vigen Sargsyan has not been summoned for questioning, said Hayk Grigoryan, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, during a press conference with journalists.

"To the best of my knowledge, he is not in Armenia, and he has not been summoned," he stated.

When asked about any updates regarding the case, Grigoryan responded, "There is no new information here. There is data indicating that apartments were allocated by the commission to individuals, which should have been allocated later or should have been subject to the commission's discussion, rather than being made through a unilateral decision."

Grigoryan also noted that Vigen Sargsyan is not involved as a suspect.

Earlier, the Investigative Committee had reported that Vigen Sargsyan had been involved as a suspect in one of the criminal cases being investigated by the committee.
