Today We Made History: Kardashian on the Adoption of the Resolution Recognizing the Genocide
World-renowned TV star Kim Kardashian shared with her millions of followers on Instagram about the historic resolution passed by the U.S. House of Representatives recognizing the Armenian Genocide. In her stories, Kardashian posted an image that read: "Today we made history."
In another post, she presented her followers with the voting results of the resolution. The television star also shared Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's remarks regarding the passage of the resolution on Twitter with her 150 million followers. Kardashian wished her followers a good read by providing a direct link to The New York Times' publication on the adoption of the resolution.
The resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide was adopted by a majority vote in the U.S. Congress on October 29. Of the congress members who participated in the vote, 405 voted in favor, 11 against, and 3 abstained, while 14 members did not vote.
Prior to the resolution's adoption, the world-famous TV star had called on Armenian Americans to demand recognition of the Armenian Genocide from the U.S. House of Representatives.
