Illegal Logging Incident in Shurnukh Village

Recently, the police department in Goris received information about illegal logging activities in the administrative area of the village of Shurnukh, specifically in the "Katari" zone. Through measures taken by the police, it was determined that two 25-year-old residents of Shurnukh had cut down oak and other trees in the designated area without the appropriate permissions and loaded them onto a "ZIL" brand vehicle without a license plate.

The vehicle was discovered and moved to a secured site of the Goris police department. The suspects have been summoned to the station and provided confessional statements.

A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident and has been forwarded to the Syunik regional investigative department for further investigation. The circumstances are under examination.
