Two Individuals Assault Pensioner Woman and Steal Gold Ring in Gyumri

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, a robbery occurred in the Shirak region yesterday, on October 20. Around 04:00, two masked individuals opened the door of the apartment of 70-year-old Susanna B. on Kamo Street in Gyumri using a modified key and illegally entered the residence.

As Susanna B. reported to the police and investigators, the masked assailants assaulted her and then stole 40,000 drams and a gold ring from one of the cabinets in the living room, as well as another gold ring from another cabinet. They also took 15,000 drams from a bag in the bedroom before fleeing the scene.

Susanna B. received initial medical assistance at the scene from the ambulance team on duty at the Gyumri Medical Center and was then transferred to the medical center.

A police operational team from the Mush division and a group from the Shirak regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia arrived at the scene. Materials are being prepared at the Shirak regional investigative department under the characteristics of robbery. An examination has been commissioned by investigator Samvelyan.

The police and the investigative department are conducting the necessary operational-search and investigative joint actions aimed at solving the crime, identifying the perpetrators, and recovering the stolen items.
