Multiple Fire Incidents Recorded Across the Republic

On October 20, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received 13 reports regarding fires that erupted in various grass-covered areas across the republic, covering approximately 200 square meters or more.

Specifically, in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan, a fire affected 200 square meters; in the Kentron administrative district, fires spread over 200 square meters and 700 square meters. In the Ararat region, near Nor Kyurin village, around 3000 square meters were engulfed; in Narek village, 3 hectares were affected; in the Armavir region, approximately 5000 square meters were recorded in Jrarat village. In the Kotayk region, in Yeghvard city, the fire spread over 2000 square meters, while in Nor Artamet village, it reached 1500 square meters, and in Nor Geghi village, 2 hectares were impacted. In the Shirak region, the city of Gyumri experienced fires with areas affected of about 500 square meters, 1000 square meters, 1 hectare, and 200 square meters.

The firefighters successfully isolated and extinguished the fires.
