Fire Breaks Out in Grocery Store
On October 19, at 16:17, the "911" service received a call reporting that gas leaking from a gas cylinder was ablaze at a grocery store located near School No. 187 in the Jrvazh district of Yerevan.
Two fire-rescue teams from the Emergency Situations Ministry's fire-rescue department in Yerevan were dispatched to the scene.
It was found that the fire broke out from a 3 kg gas cylinder at a vegetable store located at 7/2 Banavan neighborhood. The fire was contained at 16:37 and extinguished by 16:52.
The affected area included the suspended ceiling (55 sq. m), 10 cardboard boxes, and the gas that had leaked from the cylinder. Fortunately, there were no casualties.
