Gunshots in Yerevan: Police Discover 3 Shells and 1 Bullet Fired from a Makarov Pistol
On October 17, gunshots rang out in Yerevan. Around 9:30 PM, the police station in Nor Nork received a report that gunfire had been heard in the yard of building 1/13 in the Avan-Arinj 2nd microdistrict. According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a large number of officers from the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan police quickly arrived at the scene, led by the department head, Police Major Vahe Musheghyan.
At the site, police and investigators discovered 3 shells and 1 bullet fired from a Makarov pistol. The gunshots resulted in damage to the side windows of two parked vehicles in the yard of the mentioned building: a Honda Fit with license plate 34 VT 581 and an Opel Astra with license plate 36 OA 816. Fortunately, there are currently no reported injuries from the gunfire; however, police and investigators are attempting to ascertain whether any injured individuals have been transported to hospitals.
