Surens Sahakyan Reminds Critics of Tatevik Revazanyan of Their Place
Member of the 'Citizen's Decision' party, Suren Sahakyan, wrote on his Facebook page: "I want to remind those who are looking for critics of the chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee (regardless of their name or surname): I have criticized him for his policy against having a national aviation carrier. I have also criticized a careless public official for expressing thoughts that I believe are inappropriate.
These criticisms stand. I have not criticized efforts to bring in low-cost carriers. However, there is still some information that needs to be confirmed for compliments. The fact is that for each passenger transported, the airline, in addition to the ticket price paid by the passenger, will also receive money from the state budget. I am curious about how much that amount will be. At the beginning of the negotiations, it was mentioned that it would be about 80 euros per passenger (I assume for one direction). This means that my newsfeed, which wants to fly to Milan for coffee in January, will cost the state budget half a million to one million euros (based on the 80 euros per passenger calculation).
This figure is what interests me, about which they are modestly silent. If it can be compared to the benefit the country receives, then of course, it is a commendable policy. I approach this with skepticism, but at the same time, I do not exclude it. In general, an economic impact assessment is needed for yesterday's events. And I kindly ask those who are very happy and the ones posting about those cheap prices to consider that those who do not fly will also pay for their flights. Once again, additional payments for those flights will be made from our tax collection, which is the state budget."
