President Sarkissian Attends Event at Metro Marking Komitas' 150th Anniversary

On October 17, President Armen Sarkissian attended an event dedicated to the 150th anniversary of Father Komitas at the Yerevan Metro’s "Youth" station. The event was organized by the Yerevan Metro, Komitas State Conservatory, and the "Armenpress" news agency.

According to the press office of the President of the Republic of Armenia, the President viewed exclusive archival photographs of Father Komitas from the "Armenpress" news agency and listened to performances by students from the Komitas State Conservatory.

He expressed gratitude to the initiators for organizing the event in the metro, noting that it provides citizens with the opportunity to view the exhibition and once again pay tribute to one of our nation’s great figures, Komitas.

The President engaged in warm and direct conversations with participants, visitors of the metro, and guests of the city.
