No Food Provided on Flights and Limited Baggage Allowed: Pashinyan to Avinyan

Ryanair officially announced that starting January 2020, it will enter the Armenian air transportation market and will operate regular flights from Rome to Yerevan and from Milan to Yerevan, with additional flights from Berlin to Yerevan in summer. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed his surprise during a government meeting that tickets were already on sale since yesterday.

“Now, can one buy a ticket from Yerevan to Rome and Milan for 30 to 56 euros? Yes,” Pashinyan asked Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan.

“We will have flights in four directions overall. I just looked at the prices for tickets from Rome to Yerevan for January 28, 2020, and the price is 35.88 euros for one way, and the same price for the return,” the Deputy Prime Minister responded.

“As far as I understand, there is no food provided on those flights, and is there a limit on the amount of baggage one can take?” asked the Prime Minister. Avinyan replied that it is possible, but additional charges would apply for such services.
