Hrayr Tovmasyan's Powers Canceled Along with 4 Other MPs, Melikyan
Interesting data on the official website of the National Assembly. It turns out that based on the same legal basis, under Article 95 of the Constitution, the powers have been terminated not only for Constitutional Court judge Hrayr Tovmasyan but also for four other members of the sixth convocation of the National Assembly.
This was stated by Ruben Melikyan, co-founder of the NGO 'Legal Path' on his Facebook page.
“All four of them have become members of the government, a status that is just as incompatible with the status of a Member of Parliament as the status of a CC member. So, can anyone honestly believe that what is being done to Hrayr Tovmasyan is not political persecution, that the behavior of our law enforcement is not discrimination on political grounds, that all of this is simply not absurd?” he wrote.
