«Hraparak». ‘Sasna Tsreri’ Reserved the Square
«Hraparak» newspaper reports that the Yerevan city hall has informed that Armen Lusinyan, a member of the ‘Sasna Tsreri’, has submitted a notice for gatherings in Freedom Square from October 1-19, followed by a march through the route of Freedom Square-Mashtots Avenue-Koryun-Nalbandyan Streets-Republic Square-Amiryam Street-Mashtots Avenue-Freedom Square.
Today is October 17, yet no rally or march has taken place. We tried to clarify with Lusinyan why the ‘Tsreri’ representative had reserved the square in advance but has not held any gathering. “Why, did you think there should definitely be one?” he responded with another question. “If you have applied, then you must have had such a plan.”
“So, what’s the procedure? The area must be occupied based on the situation. When they said there would be a hot autumn, it wasn’t for nothing,” Lusinyan opened up. Does this mean you reserved the square for a hot autumn? “Yes, but please don’t write anything on my behalf officially; call our press secretary instead. I am not commenting.”
Details are in today’s issue of the newspaper.
