Farmer's Barn Catches Fire
On October 16, at 17:51, a report was received by the 911 service that a house was burning in the village of Dzoragyu in the Gugark region of Lori Province. An operational group from the Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and three firefighting units were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighting efforts were also supported by a water truck from Veolia Water's regional section in Lori. The fire was contained by 19:56. At the address of 4th alley, 2nd street, in Dzoragyu village, the second floor of a two-story building (240 sqm) was burned, along with approximately 3000-3500 units of fodder accumulated in the premises and adjacent area.
The rescuers managed to evacuate 30 heads of cattle and 30 tons of potatoes from the first floor of the building. The fire was extinguished on October 17 at 20:00.
