Dismissal Due to Serzh Sargsyan's Brother
The newspaper "Past" reports: "Yesterday, Prime Minister Pashinyan signed a decision to dismiss Suren Vardanyan from his position as Armenia's trade representative in the Republic of Lebanon. Vardanyan, who is the honorary consul of Armenia in Deir ez-Zor, has had close ties with Levon Sargsyan, the brother of Armenia's third president, Serzh Sargsyan. According to the newspaper's sources, this has essentially been the reason behind Pashinyan's decision to relieve him from his duties.
It is known that due to Levon Sargsyan's close connections with Lebanon, the Prime Minister has scrutinized every figure representing Armenia in the region.
