Video: I am shocked by the brutal act against police officers, Avetisyan

Member of the 'Sasna Tsrer' party, Varujan Avetisyan, commented today on the attack on police officers by two brothers, which resulted in the death of one officer.

Avetisyan expressed that he is shocked by what happened to the police, labeling the incident as a brutal act. His statement sparked various interpretations online, as many started to draw parallels between the actions of the 'Sasna Tsrer' group in seizing the police station on July 17, 2016, and the killing of police officer Tigran Arakelyan while performing his duties.

Facebook user Andranik Grigoryan specifically wrote: 'Varujan Avetisyan is shocked by what happened to the police, he labels it a brutal act. Really? Sorry, I couldn't find a more fitting expression. Mr. Avetisyan, weren’t your characteristics of being shocked left at home when you seized the police station in 2016? The atmosphere created by people like you and those who grant freedom to people like you is the reason for last night's tragedy: #hypocrites.
