During the funeral of Shay Bradley, a veteran of the Irish National Army who passed away after a long illness, unusual sounds were heard coming from the coffin. "Where am I? Let me out, it’s dark in here! Who is this, is it the priest? I’m in a box, for heaven’s sake, I’m in a box in front of you. I’m dead. I called to say goodbye to you," were the words that echoed from inside the coffin.

The deceased's daughter stated that this recording was made before his death, and she wished for the recording to be played during the funeral.
