«The Least Selling Chocolates Are Those With 'Sorry' Written On Them». 'But It's Part of the Revolution's Success'

After the official part of the conference today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the booths in the Sasunik community, where he stopped by a booth run by an Armenian businessman from the diaspora who is involved in the chocolate business, listening to interesting and amusing stories.

The businessman noted that the least selling chocolates are those with 'sorry' written on them. The Prime Minister reassured him by saying, 'Nothing, over time, more will be sold. Since the start of the revolution, I think I’ve apologized a thousand times on various occasions; it’s normal. I believe that this word is part of the revolution's successes because when we blocked the roads and apologized, the atmosphere changed. It’s always good for citizens to have it in their bags, especially when it is difficult for a Caucasian to say.'

The businessman also emphasized that Armenians tend to be very pessimistic and recounted his own story: 'In 2007, when we started our business, you know, I’m a repatriate from Austria, from Ashtarak. When I was coming to Yerevan to register the business, I told the taxi driver how nice it was that the trees were blooming, and he negatively and rudely responded, “The hail will come and take it all.” I thought, how can you do business in this environment? But I continued and reached where I am now.'
