However, they are being prosecuted not for self-defense but for a serious charge of "murder committed by a group of persons by prior agreement." The investigation has now concluded, and the parties are reviewing the findings of the examinations and other materials of the criminal case, reports the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda."

According to the source, several videos emerged during the investigation, one of which shows Mikhail Khachatryan holding a horse bridle in one hand and a pistol in the other, with a large knife dangling from his trousers. The source states these are not the entirety of his arsenal. The video also reveals other weapons belonging to Khachatryan, including a hunting rifle. The weapons were discovered in Mikhail Khachatryan’s apartment after his death.

According to the testimonies from the Khachatryan sisters, their father had previously used the pistol against them, inflicted injuries, and even shot at one of the sisters. The source details that Mikhail Khachatryan fired at Kristina with an air pistol in 2016, injuring her leg. According to Kristina’s lawyer, their father prohibited them from seeking medical help.

During the questioning, Kristina was unable to explain why her father shot at her. She stated that all punishments were spontaneous, and there was no need for any provocation for his aggression. It is important to recall that the highly publicized murder occurred on July 27 of last year. In June, the Investigative Committee had filed final charges against the sisters for "murder committed by a group of persons by prior agreement," which carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison.

Earlier today, a photo showcasing the aftermath of Mikhail Khachatryan’s assault on his daughter, Angelina Khachatryan, surfaced online. In late September, Komsomolskaya Pravda published a video from Mikhail Khachatryan's phone, showing him humiliating the girls and hitting one of them.
