VIDEO: 110 Million Dram and Gold Jewelry Stolen from an Apartment in Yerevan
In the investigative department of the Criminal Committee of the Republic of Armenia for the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts, measures are being taken to identify the individual who illegally entered an apartment and secretly stole someone else's property.
According to preliminary data, on July 2, 2019, from 12:00 PM to 10:30 PM, the alleged perpetrator illegally entered an apartment on Melkumov Street in Yerevan and secretly stole a suitcase from the top of a cabinet, which contained money and gold jewelry, causing a total damage of 110,906,405 Armenian drams.
A criminal case has been initiated on July 3, 2019, in the investigative department of the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts under the characteristics of Article 177, Part 3, Subparagraphs 1 and 1.1 of the RA Criminal Code.
During the preliminary investigation, footage from surveillance cameras nearby the crime scene has been obtained, showing the individual committing the apparent crime. Efforts are underway to identify the person captured on video.
Anyone who recognizes the individual in the footage or has any information about their identity or whereabouts is urged to contact the investigative department of the Yerevan City Investigative Committee for the Ajapnyak and Davtashen administrative districts.
