Producers to Announce Boycott Against Yerevan City, Zovk, SAS, and Other Supermarkets
The "Pasta" newspaper writes that in its previous issue, it reported that supermarket chains have decided to collect 25-30% of sales and other bonuses in addition to the cash in stores from meat producers' wages, which has caused dissatisfaction among the latter.
According to the newspaper's sources, pressures from supermarket chains on producers are intensifying, prompting the producers to take action in response. Several meat-producing companies informed us that such demands indeed exist from chains like Yerevan City, Zovk, SAS, and Apricot, which they find unacceptable.
Unfortunately, there has been no response from the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition so far. Specifically, if no actions are taken to investigate these facts and eliminate unfair competition conditions, all companies will be forced to take extreme measures, announcing a boycott against the supermarkets, possibly even declaring an indefinite strike together.
Details in today's issue of the newspaper.
