Igityan Expresses Discontent: Removing Him from Delegation Marks a Dark Spot on His Career

«Ժողովուրդ» newspaper reports that "there is a 50/50 chance that Armenian delegation member Hovhannes Igityan will leave the delegation. The ruling team informed the newspaper that the issue regarding Igityan's PACE mandate is up in the air. It is recalled that on September 28, the newspaper reported that Igityan had not participated in the vote concerning Russia's return to PACE and was allegedly removed from the delegation due to an agreement made with Ukrainian delegates.

Now, the Armenian side faces a dilemma: how to avoid upsetting allied Russia and colleagues. According to our information, during lengthy discussions within the team, Igityan expressed discontent that removing him from the delegation would leave a black mark on his career and biography, branding it as a stain on his achievements.

However, a solution to the puzzle has been found within the team: Igityan will not be upset any further. At the beginning of the year, he will be replaced by another member of parliament on a rotational basis without any issues. Tatyevikh Hayrapetyan, a member of the Armenian delegation, told the newspaper that the composition of the delegation is usually updated at the beginning of each year. Igityan himself did not deny that this issue is under discussion, promising, "We will still talk about this topic."

Further details can be found in today's issue of the newspaper.
