Arman Tatoyan Meets with Head of EU Delegation

Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan today welcomed Andrea Victorin, the Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union in Armenia. This was reported by the public relations department of the Office of the Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia.

During the meeting, Arman Tatoyan congratulated the ambassador on assuming her important mission and wished her effective work. The parties discussed issues related to the fight against corruption in the judicial system of the Republic of Armenia, judicial reforms, and matters concerning the rights of women and children.

The discussion highlighted the work of the Human Rights Defender, particularly in eliminating insults, intolerance, and hate speech, and emphasized the awareness-raising efforts being undertaken in various sectors.

The head of the EU delegation underscored the importance of the Human Rights Defender's work in the country regarding the protection and strengthening of human rights.

The Human Rights Defender praised the collaboration with the EU Delegation in Armenia and informed that there is successful cooperation with the European Union in the country.

It was agreed to deepen the directions of joint work.
