The State Service for Food Safety of Armenia is conducting ongoing monitoring in the egg sales market of Gyumri, during which numerous violations have been identified.
In 16 cases, operators were found to have poorly labeled or unlabeled, dirty, and expired eggs. Consequently, 83 inadequately labeled eggs have been withdrawn from sale (and it has been instructed to complete the labeling), and 495 expired or unlabeled eggs have been destroyed.
To rectify the identified deficiencies, recommendations have been issued with set deadlines. Monitoring is ongoing, and summarized results will be released upon completion.
