Police Reports New Details on Bloody Incident in Vanadzor (Video)

On October 4, around midnight, six young individuals aged 29, 28, 26, 25, and 21 were transferred to the Vanadzor Medical Center with gunshot wounds from a residence on Michurini Street in Vanadzor. Among them, the 25-year-old succumbed to injuries while being transported to the hospital. Following a report to the Vanadzor city police, both police and investigators went to the medical facility and the apartment from where the youths were brought.

In the basement of the house, the bodies of two 30-year-old men were discovered, also with gunshot wounds. A criminal case regarding particularly serious crimes has been initiated by the regional investigative department of Lori.

During the examination of the crime scene, various caliber cartridges, blood-like traces, knives, syringes, a 'Makarov' pistol, and an 'AK-47' assault rifle were found in the yard of the house.

In the meantime, operatives from the department had already detained a 46-year-old man from Vanadzor.

The operational group arrived at the crime scene just 3-4 minutes after the alert, quickly clarifying the circumstances of the incident and detaining the aforementioned man as a suspect.

He was presented to the authority conducting the preliminary investigation and was arrested. Based on operational-investigative measures and investigative actions, factual data were obtained regarding the armed incident that took place in the basement of a house on Michurini Street on the night of October 4, and charges were brought against the detained man.

On October 7, by court decision, he was remanded in custody and transferred to a correctional facility. A number of examinations have been appointed.
