Anna Danibekyan Rejects Recusal Motion

The court, returning from the consultative room, announced its decision regarding the recusal motion submitted against judge Anna Danibekyan. The court decided to reject the presented motion.

Today, the defense team of former Armenian President Robert Kocharian submitted a recusal motion against judge Anna Danibekyan. During the motion presentation, defense attorney Haik Alumyants stated that under the presidency of A. Danibekyan, the court could not be considered a proper tribunal for examining this case.

Additionally, the defense argued that A. Danibekyan has a biased negative attitude towards Robert Kocharian. The motion from R. Kocharian's lawyers was also supported by one of the victims' attorneys.
