The Death Toll of Protests in Iraq Reaches 65
The death toll from anti-government protests in Iraq has risen to 65. More than 3,000 people have been injured.
For several days now, protests have been ongoing in the country, accompanied by clashes with law enforcement agencies. Demonstrators are protesting against the social conditions prevailing in the country, corruption, and unemployment.
Participants in the protests are also demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi's government.
