Sergeant Mushegh Abovyan Posthumously Awarded Medal by Presidential Decree

The President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has posthumously awarded a medal to Sergeant Mushegh Abovyan, who was killed in Tavush.

The corresponding decree was published on the official website of the President of Armenia. “Based on the Prime Minister’s recommendation, in accordance with Article 136 of the Constitution, as well as Article 5.3, Part 1 of the Law on State Awards and Honorary Titles of the Republic of Armenia, Sergeant Mushegh Zhirayri Abovyan, a contracted serviceman of the Defense Ministry’s military unit N, is awarded the Combat Service Medal for displaying heroism during the performance of his official duties.”
