Fact: Samvel Aleksanyan's Discontent May Lead to Strikes

According to the "Fact" newspaper, former Republican MP Samvel Aleksanyan's supermarket chain, "Yerevan City," is planning innovations in connection with the opening of a megamall in the Nor Nork community.

Aleksanyan announced that, in addition to 25-30% of sales and in-store revenue, other bonuses should also be collected from the workers' salaries. The issue is that no staff is expected to be employed in the megamall’s food and other departments.

Instead, each company must have a few representatives in the store, who will work on shifts. Otherwise, companies cannot operate with the mall.

In other words, the store management has informed producers that they will no longer pay workers' salaries from their own pockets, thus deciding to resolve this issue at the companies' expense.

According to information obtained by the newspaper, several companies, including "Athens," have reported this to the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition. Essentially, producers believe this is a vivid example of unfair competition, which could turn into a bad precedent.

Our sources indicate that production companies are also dissatisfied with the unequal competitive conditions regarding the sale of products belonging to Samvel Aleksanyan.
