Ararat Mirzoyan's Wife Acquires a New Car on Loan

The wife of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan, Gohar Abadjyan, has acquired a new car through a loan.

This was stated by Mirzoyan during a conversation with reporters on October 4, as he addressed criticisms directed at the government regarding the members of parliament who, after just 8 months in office, reportedly own plots of land and have acquired expensive properties.

Mirzoyan provided his own example: “My wife has purchased a new car on loan. After the revolution, I had a one-bedroom apartment, which we sold. With that money, as a down payment, we purchased a larger apartment, also through a mortgage. I don’t know about others, and especially regarding anything illegal; if there is, please reveal which representative of what party it concerns. This will not deter us, nor the relevant law enforcement authorities, from conducting the process as stipulated by law.”
