Yura Ivanyan's Service Investigation Deadline Extended

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that about a month ago, on September 2, a service investigation was initiated against Yura Ivanyan, the head of the investigative team concerning the Amulsar case, because he is the nephew of former Minister of Environment Aramais Grigoryan. In 2016, Grigoryan endorsed the conclusion on the exploitation of the mine. It was officially stated that the investigation would last 10 days and clarify whether Ivanyan was constrained during the investigation.

Yesterday, we learned that the duration of the service investigation has been extended. According to the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee, this is due to the necessity of conducting additional checks.

More details can be found in today’s issue of the newspaper.
