Traffic Congestion Decreases at Upper Lars

Recent issues have led to a decrease in the congestion of vehicles exiting Russia at the Upper Lars border checkpoint. This was reported by Anna Ohanian, the press secretary of the Minister of Economy of Armenia.

“During the previous day, 536 vehicles were let through, and around 400 vehicles entered. The checkpoint operates on a 24-hour basis,” stated Ohanian.

Earlier, the ministry had reported that the queues at the Upper Lars checkpoint mainly resulted from vehicles exiting the territory of the Russian Federation, rather than those entering. The problem primarily stemmed from the non-compliance of cargo vehicles with the established weight limits.
