The Issue of Judge Anna Danibekyan's Security Has Been Resolved: Statement by the Supreme Judicial Council
On September 27, around 20:15, a group of individuals pursued Judge Anna Danibekyan of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, attempting to exert psychological pressure on her through unnecessary questioning, insulting, and degrading her personality. Judge Danibekyan immediately informed the Supreme Judicial Council about the incident and filed a report with the Police.
The Supreme Judicial Council condemns any encroachment and pressure against judges that would endanger their independence and professional activities, and declares that it will be consistent in holding accountable, to the fullest extent of the law, all individuals who attempt any form of encroachment against judges, their honor and dignity, and professional work.
The Supreme Judicial Council has confirmed that following the incident involving Judge Anna Danibekyan in the evening, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Ruben Vardazaryan, promptly visited the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction. It is noteworthy that the issue of Judge Anna Danibekyan's security has already been resolved.
