Academician Yuri Hovhannisyan is in Armenia

World-renowned Armenian scientist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yuri Hovhannisyan is in Armenia. He is staying at the "Alexandr" hotel. We learned that the esteemed scientist was visited by the President of the Science Committee, Samvel Harutyunyan. We asked him to provide details about the conversation with the scientist:

“Yuri Hovhannisyan always comes; this was his regular visit, and he has many friends and relatives here. The visit was purely private. During each visit, we discuss what is happening in the field of science in Armenia, what reforms we are preparing for the future, we talked about the physics institute and the reforms envisioned there, about the university, etc. He comes every year. One of the goals was, of course, the 100th anniversary of YSU. Additionally, as you know, 2019 was declared the year of the 150th anniversary of the Mendeleev periodic table, and there was a consultation dedicated to this at the academy, where Hovhannisyan delivered a lecture and spoke at the YSU Faculty of Physics,” Harutyunyan said in his conversation with “Hraparak.”
