Zohreb Mnatsakanyan Discusses Business Cooperation with Iraqi Counterpart
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Zohreb Mnatsakanyan, met with his Iraqi counterpart, Mohammad Ali Alhakim, in New York on September 27. This information was reported by the press and public diplomacy department of the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
The foreign ministers expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue between the two countries and the dynamic development of trade relations. They reaffirmed their mutual commitment to intensifying and enriching the bilateral agenda through joint efforts.
Minister Mnatsakanyan emphasized that Armenia and Iraq are reliable partners, united by historical strong ties and shared civilizational values. The promotion of business connections, cooperation in alternative energy, and tourism were stressed, as well as strengthening the traditionally established ties between the peoples of the two countries.
In this regard, special attention was given to the Armenian community's significant role in Iraq’s socio-political life and in maintaining the centuries-old friendship between the two nations. A thorough exchange of views took place on urgent regional and international agenda issues.
