Taxi Driver Holds Gun on Passenger Near Opera and Kicks Her

On September 25, at 21:10, the Central Police Department received a call from a woman reporting that a taxi service driver was holding a gun near the Opera roundabout.

Following this, the woman approached officers of the Yerevan city police's Public Order Protection Battalion stationed on Tumanyan Street and informed them that the driver of a "BMW" was armed.

The woman later filed a report at the Central Police Department, stating that at 21:00 the same day on Moscow Street, the mentioned driver had threatened her with his weapon during an argument and kicked her on the leg, causing physical pain.

At 23:10, a 28-year-old resident of Yerevan presented himself to the police department and surrendered a "Colt" 9mm gas pistol. A forensic examination has been ordered, and materials are being prepared for further proceedings.
