Car Collides with Horse-Drawn Cart in Ararat: Five Injured
On September 23, an emergency incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 7:30 PM, 45-year-old Karen Sh. from the town of Yeghgneadzor collided with a horse-drawn cart driven by 66-year-old Ashot D. on the 48 km section of the Yerevan-Meghri highway, within the administrative territory of Ararat village.
According to Shamshyan.com, debris from the collision struck the vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, driven by 26-year-old Alik H. from the Syunik region, who was behind the wheel of a Mercedes with license plate number 34 QC 881.
As a result of the accident, Ashot D., Karen Sh., and Karen's passengers—39-year-old Yerjanik S., 18-year-old Naira Sh., and 10-year-old Milena Sh.—were taken to the Ararat Medical Center with injuries. The horse involved in the collision died on impact.
