Artsakh Cannot Be Part of Azerbaijan, Rubinyan

Artsakh Cannot Be Part of Azerbaijan, Rubinyan

The logic expressed by the Prime Minister from the UN podium regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is very clear. Ruben Rubinyan, the Chairman of the RA National Assembly's Permanent Committee on Foreign Relations, posted this on his Facebook page.

“There is a conflict, and negotiations are being conducted regarding the conflict. The resolution of the conflict can only be achieved through peaceful means. The peaceful resolution of the conflict is only possible when the parties come to an agreement. Therefore, the resolution of the conflict must be acceptable to Artsakh, its security guarantor, Armenia, and the people of Azerbaijan.

If Azerbaijan does not accept this simple reality, it means that Azerbaijan does not want a peaceful resolution to the conflict, and therefore does not want a resolution. Moreover, the destructive, dismissive, and belligerent statements of Azerbaijani officials, claiming that Azerbaijan can capture Artsakh through war, and the official anti-Armenian propaganda being conducted in Azerbaijan clearly demonstrate that Azerbaijan does not want a resolution to the conflict, is not honest in negotiations, and further strengthens the undeniable argument that Artsakh cannot be part of Azerbaijan,” Rubinyan wrote.
